Special  Tax Notice

     Although the newspaper article date October 9, 2009, that reported on the Meeting of the Supervisors, did not mention the fact, Forward Township passed an ordinance that eliminated the Amusement Tax. 

     In this day and age of constant tax increases that is a most unusual action.  When is the last time you recall of a tax being reduced or eliminated?

     The Amusement Tax resulted in an annual revenue to the Township of approximately $4,000.00.   The only payor of the tax in recent years was a golf course situated in the Township, although others businesses no longer functioning have paid the tax in the past.
